Started on Friday with aching joints, fatigue and a low grade fever. The fever comes back to normal with paracetamol.

The weird part is I generally wake up feeling fine and by lunch I've got down hill again and have a temp. I've also got a cough which is increasing in frequency each day.

Anyone else experience similar? So wish we could all get tested!

RomeoLikedCapuletGirls · 30/03/2020 22:53

Is it a dry cough or a productive one?

teafourtoo · 30/03/2020 22:56

Yes it feels tickly and isn't productive.

All three of us in the household have been ill but my symptoms are a bit different. The other two didn't have a cough and their fevers were much higher then broke and came back to normal.

MoltonSilver · 30/03/2020 22:59

Sounds likely.

teafourtoo · 30/03/2020 23:02

I've been so careful with hand washing and sanitising, social distancing so just shows how contagious this horrid virus is

everythingisginandroses · 30/03/2020 23:05

Exhaustion and continuous fever are my own recent experience and that of DH and a few other people I know (no-one has been in ICU, thankfully, so no-one is getting tested Hmm ) Symptoms seem variable from person to person - see here: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/coronavirus/3846709-Self-isolation-support-thread?msgid=95176798#95176798

everythingisginandroses · 30/03/2020 23:07

And yes, we really tried too, OP, and we are rarely ill so whatever we have got must be contagious AF Sad

CherryValanc · 30/03/2020 23:07

Sounds like me, especially the gets worse during the day, evenings are rough

On top of what you said my lungs feel 'hot' and I can't take a deep breath. I'm on day 10 - no way of getting a test so can't say yeah or any.

CherryValanc · 30/03/2020 23:08

Nay not any

teafourtoo · 30/03/2020 23:08

Thanks for that will take a look. Sorry to hear that you're not well either. How long have you had symptoms?

It’s hard to tell early on but my symptoms started 14 days ago and had fever up until yesterday, which was always higher in the afternoon and evening. It wasn’t until about day 7 I thought it very likely CV as I became very short of breath along with the fatigue etc. Some people only seem to get the first phase though!

everythingisginandroses · 30/03/2020 23:11

I am on day 14 @teafourtoo, hopefully turning the corner now. I gotta get to bed and stop arsing about on here! Hope you feel better soon Flowers

teafourtoo · 30/03/2020 23:13

Oh dear I could be in for the long haul here then.

Sorry to anyone else with the symptoms! Hoping you all make a speedy recovery and we then have immunity to this damn thing!

I’m 2 weeks into something similar !

Fever, awful hacking dry cough - came in waves / would be fine all day the have a sudden crash and feel weak and exhausted and crap

Now the couch nearly gone but I’m in agony, muscles are so painful - Am here with a hot water bottle trying to ease the pain

Also I have a horrible sinus problem now - all bunged up, head and face feel like they might explode ! And I feel dizzy!

2 full weeks now and still n out feeling right :(

I wonder if it’s the virus or not

teafourtoo · 31/03/2020 06:58

Sorry to hear that @KaptenKrusty at least the cough has gone. You still sound really unwell thought so hope you start to get better soon.

Interesting that your symptoms came in waves as well.

Its so ridiculous that we can't access testing and know if we have it or not.

I've not got a cough but I'm getting intermittent temperature spikes plus lost sense of smell and taste. I have a runny nose and congestion too. I'm not convinced it's covid, I think another virus is going around because lots of people I know have similar to me, no cough, no breathing issues

shelsley · 31/03/2020 10:54

Hi all, can anyone that thinks they've had it help? On Saturday evening I had weird heart palpitations and a slightly constricted feeling in my chest, and since then have felt exhausted (taking to my bed in the afternoon & falling asleep) and lightheaded. I have a dry throat and intermittent cough that comes when I talk too much, but other than feeling groggy, I wouldn't say I feel ill. Still walking the dog and up and about generally. Does this sound like early symptoms? I'm a teacher and was meant to be going in but have self isolated just in case. So frustrating not knowing as I have (older) children at home with me. Thanks.

Iamclearlyamug · 31/03/2020 11:03

I THINK I'm on day 5 here, day 1 started Friday with a dull headache and a dry tickly cough. Day 3 on Sunday cough was worse, sometimes productive but mostly dry and irritating. Day 4 yesterday started with lower back pain and this morning I have a sore throat and had the sweats when I woke up this morning.

I'm self isolating but still feel well enough going to work so far - I'm self employed and work completely alone so no problem there, although it can't be done from home.

From all the threads on here it seems that if things are gonna get really bad it seems to happen around day 10/11 - can anyone whose come through the other side give me some idea of what might happen next?

I'm self isolating away from DD8 who has been living with her dad since the schools closed (he works from home and since they closed schools to prevent the spread it seemed counter productive to then drag her out all over the place with me while I work) but obviously I want to see her as soon as it's safe 🙈🙈

Camomila · 31/03/2020 11:10

I think I'm on day 12/13...days 1-5 were an occasional tickly cough, then week 2 has been lots of coughing, sore throat, exhaustion, runny nose, conjunctivitis, low fever at night, slight chest/back pain but I've never been short of breath.

So mine, whatever it is, has dragged on but hasn't been too terrible.

knock wood

Lightsabre · 31/03/2020 11:19

I started a week or something ago with tenderness behind the ears/lumpy throat/dizziness. I had this about 5 years ago and it was a normal virus then. However, since Friday, I've been a bit floored- high temp on Saturday only but tight chest and breathlessness since and totally exhausted. I can't even get out of bed to take a shower. No cough though but lumpy glands at the side of my throat. Wish I knew whether I am positive or not. I'm a bit scared, especially at night.

everythingisginandroses · 31/03/2020 11:20

Days 1-4: hot and v. tired.

Day 5 - started to feel slightly short of breath upon any exertion (folding laundry, climbing stairs), dull, glowing/burning sensation across my upper back.

Day 6 - just felt weak as a kitten.

Day 7 - chest tightness worse, aware of breathing but not struggling to breathe or anything.

Day 8/9 - badly feverish and tight-chested overnight.

Day 10 - chest still tight, feverish, tired.

Day 11 - I felt like Johnny Knoxville in Jackass 3 after he tries to rollerskate into a buffalo herd.

Now on day 15 and things have been gradually easing since then.

everythingisginandroses · 31/03/2020 11:25

@Lightsabre, yes the nights can be nasty - hang in there, you will get better Flowers

Meant to say - cough has been very marginal/intermittent for both me and DH who has had same symptoms.

Lightsabre · 31/03/2020 12:44

Thank you, everythingisginandroses, hoping everyone on this thread recovers well and roll on the antigen testing.

teafourtoo · 04/04/2020 16:05

I no longer have a fever but I have a never ending headache that seems resistant to paracetamol and is there day after day.
It feels like a nasty head cold but without the usual blocked nose. Anyone else had this? I'm on day 9 since symptoms started now

moita · 04/04/2020 16:48

@Kaptenkrusty I had similar before lockdown. Needed anti biotics as it was a sinus infection. Might be worth phoning GP
