North Korea isn't reporting any cases of covid. I can't believe this is correct?

Will we ever know the true impact on them?

They also set off a missile the other day.

🤷🏻‍♀️

Lumene · 30/03/2020 19:25

Didn’t they shoot the first person they diagnosed? That might explain it.

JulietTango · 30/03/2020 19:26

Yes I saw that when I googled 😟

No, there seems to be evidence that it is not at all correct.

But also, no, I suspect we will never find out what actually happens there.

feesh · 30/03/2020 19:30

They have quite a lot of people crossing the border with China, no? I’d be very surprised if it wasn’t rampaging through N Korea now.

JulietTango · 30/03/2020 19:32

It's a shame, especially when Trump has reportedly written to him offering help

Satellite images show they are digging a lot of graves though. Probably not a coincidence.

esjee · 30/03/2020 19:34

If I were North Korea, I wouldn't trust help from Trump I have to say!

JulietTango · 30/03/2020 19:36

I don't think I'd trust help from Trump at all.

But that doesn't mean the rest of the world would be unwilling to help in some way

They slammed their borders shut very early. Goodness knows what it’s like

esjee · 30/03/2020 19:40

North Korea have positioned themselves in a very specific way, I'm not sure other countries trust them enough to provide aid.

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/03/2020 19:46

I asked this weeks ago. It is scary and interesting at the same time.

JulietTango · 30/03/2020 19:49

@MrsTerryPratchett totally agree

executed for breaking quarantine, not just for having the disease

Lumene · 30/03/2020 21:03

Ah ok! Slightly less extreme then.

JulietTango · 30/03/2020 21:12

At least that's what they said
