Is there an isolation thread?

I've had a temp since yesterday. Not feeling horrendous so working from home. Just me and dd at home and she seems ok at the moment.

Already missing my daily walk, and had to get my mum to drop me over some fresh stuff as even though I've got stuff in the cupboards I'd run out of cheese and bread and had been planning on doing a small shop today on the way to/from work.

Not feeling too bad but in between paracetamol doses I get a banging headache and aching muscles. Temp currently at 37.5 so up a bit but not horrendous. Got up to 37.8 yesterday and have got a cough but not a terrible one. So not 100% convinced this is it but looks like it.

Anyone else?

My 11 year old came down with what we thought were cold symptoms last night. Woke up with a fever. She has a really bad headache, and stomach cramps and diarrhoea. I have heard these can be signs but who knows.

Her temperature has came down now but we will still need to isolate for 14 days, although I read we can still go for walks?

I hope you feel better soon OP.

No you cannot go out for walks if you or anyone in your house has symptoms. That is social distancing not self isolation. You need to stay at home.

Unfortunately probably wouldn't feel well enough anyway. 😥

Dd1 is on day 8 ... and going insane with boredom. The housemate who might’ve had ‘it’ is free now but all of the asymptomatic ones have another 6 long days. They are all desperate to get back to work. The girl who had it is fine now - she felt quite rough on day 2/3/4 but has been steadily improving since - appetite is back, no fever for three days & coughing much less.

Dh dropped some food & cleaning stuff over to their front door earlier ... he might’ve taken some non essential Easter eggs too Grin

Are there any supermarkets delivering to people who are self isolating? They all seem to be prioritizing the elderly or vulnerable... I have stuff in for now but don't think I'll last 2 weeks...

I have looked around the supermarket sites, but unfortunately cannot find anything like this either. We have had a bit of milk and fruit/veg dropped off by friends. May be worth checking whether any smaller local shops are delivering, or if you are really stuck, there will almost certainly be a local support group online, or you could try local churches.
