Ocado help

Just wanted to get someone's advice if they have managed to edit an upcoming Ocado delivery!
I made an order for my 87 year old grandmother living on her own 2 hours away, also has COPD so not able to go out (all other family even further) the slot isn't until 7th April, when I initially got the slot I made up the order to the minimum £40 so could place the order and not lose the slot, all good, but now I actually want to add and edit the order to requirements I can't! Every morning first thing I go online and I can't log in to edit and just says all slots are taken for the next 24 hours and to try again tomorrow.

I just wondered if I will actually be able to log in as I get close to the delivery date?!

Anyone working in any way with/for the super markets right now, thank you!

I was able to the day before. I'd keep trying once a day until it works.

Yes you’ll be able to amend/ update closer to the delivery date but the cut off time is earlier and they request you only do it once

PrincessSarene · 30/03/2020 17:34

Ocado have put in place some new restrictions for accessing the website - you can only log in if you’ve either been given priority access or in the three days before a booked delivery. So chances are you won’t be able to access your order until 4th April. Also don’t leave it until the last minute as they say they may need to bring forward the cut off point - and they did do this for my delivery last Saturday.

FlamingoAndJohn · 30/03/2020 17:35

You will be able to edit once you get within a week of the delivery date.

You should be able to closer to the time but they have been advising people to try and do the order ‘correct’ first time to take some of the strain off the website. Next time maybe get a list first and then place the order as there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get in and edit it on time, they might just say to reject any items you no longer want when it’s delivered

I think you get an email with a link a few days before your delivery that allows you to edit your order, that was what happened when they shut down the site before. Keep checking your junk email so you don't miss it. That said, it wasn't possible to add things to that order, only delete them because all the stock had been sold.

I have a delivery booked for Thursday and got a text earlier today to say I could now log in to edit it, and I could no problem

boymum9 · 30/03/2020 18:14

Thanks everyone!

Just to confirm I got a text this morning saying I could log in to edit my order for Saturday and I am able to add things to it. Most things seem to be in stock, apart from flour!

CrunchyCarrot · 01/04/2020 11:32

You should be able to edit your order within 2 days of the delivery. I had a Tuesday order and was suddenly able to get into the site without queueing on the Sunday evening before. I didn't get any notification about it.

boymum9 · 01/04/2020 13:49

@PrincessSarene
Yep my realised the order is for Sunday and can get onto the site today! Didn't get a message about it though! Smile
