Where to get a test/ who gets tested?

Currently on hold to 111. Immunosuppressed DH has symptoms but not bad enough for hospital. Is there a chance they could test him? I’d be concerned about him going to a suspected corona virus unit if he hasn’t got it because he’d be more likely to catch it.

Unlikely. I think they're only testing people in hospital. I hope he feels better soon

As far as I can tell he will not meet the criteria for testing as he is not seriously unwell with the symptoms. Best wishes to you OP.

Hope he's ok OP. Boots are doing it but only for NHS staff, so don't try there.

111 had the clinical assessment doctor phone me back. He said it was “likely” to be COVID19 but no tests in my area in the community yet, even for shielded groups.
@ifonly4 they aren’t doing those in our area yet (NW).

no tests in our area either... my cousin had Drs in and out of his house few times as was nearly on his deathbed and wasn't tested... they said he had it but can't test him
