I was just wondering if anyone is in the same boat.

I'm due to return to work after 9 months maternity leave on April 20th and all my work have been put on furlough pay! So what happens to me??

My boss is unsure what happens at the moment and I can't find anything on google!

Thank you!!!

You have a contract of employment and you have a job that you would return to. I would look at MSE for guidance but I cannot see why you would be different to any other employee. You are one. And continues to be one during maternity leave. Bring your return date forward if that helps.

The attached is from MSE. You retain your rights regarding maternity.

Internet is very slow here! Sorry for double posting of advice: you can read the whole thing if you like on MSE.

You'll still be fully employed & receiving SMP as normal until your return to work date at which point you'll be furloughed & go onto 80% of your usual salary (if we're still in this situation)

Thank you both! I thought that must be the case but couldn't find anything to confirm!! At least the bills are covered! Thank you!
