Have a holiday booked in Spain for July, paid low deposit (£200) on booking. Rest of the deposit is due on Wednesday which is £600, we have to pay this as we can’t cancel without an £800 cancellation fee. The rest of the payment (2.3K) is due end of May.
Would you pay the remainder 2.3K in the hope that they cancel the holiday and you are offered the refund, would you amend your booking to dates next year (not sure I would want to go to Spain in July this year if travel restrictions are lifted by then) or would you cancel and lose the £800 deposit?
