My DS (11) has the virus: it started with a day of coughing, then nothing for 4 days bar a bit of fatigue. But since then he has been in bed/on the sofa, pretty much unable to do anything at all as he is so whacked out.
He doesn't have a temperature, but does have a very sore stomach. Weirdly though, he still has his appetite, no diarrhoea or any of the other usual tummy-related symptoms. He says that it 'occasionally' hurts to breathe, but he's not obviously struggling for breath at all.
I did read something online that suggested this unusual symptom of Covid-19 was a result of the patient developing pneumonia in the lower lobes of the lungs, leading to irritation in the diaphragm which causes the pain in the abdomen... This has slightly alarmed me, and I am waiting for a call back from the doctor, but not expecting it to come any time soon given how inundated they are.
So just wondering if anyone else has had this? And if so, any advice?
