Palpitations

I'm probably being overly neurotic here but since yesterday I have had heart palpitations. Not chest pain as such but my heart has been thudding, skipping beats and feeling tight.

Today I have also had stomach ache and a runny tummy.

It could just be all the stress of everything but does anyone know if these could be symptoms of coronavirus?

Its most likely stress related. Also if you Google " trapped wind vagus nerve" you will see that the stomach ache could be wind pushing on that nerve, which then causes palpitations. Basically once you release the wind or it moves down the pressure goes.

Ive had palpitations every few months for the last 30 years and this is the reason.

No idea, but these are definitely symptoms of anxiety, which is totally normal at the moment.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge of CV will be around soon.

I’ve had this too. Palpitations for a couple of days, headache, diarrhoea and aches. I thought it was odd so googled it and came across this. It’s seems a lot of people have the palpitations and digestive issues early on.

I suffer from health anxiety but I've never experienced what I've felt today. Heart palpitations for days on end, dizziness, chest pain etc Ended up being checked over earlier today for what I suspected was a heart attack when it was actually anxiety. Been given some meds and feeling much calmer already. So in the absence of any virus-y type symptoms its much more likely to be anxiety

Thanks the symptoms are definitely also symptoms of anxiety.

@RUSU92 have you had any other symptoms?
