Hello,

Not much of a specific thread just a little bit of a how to stay sane given the situation in the UK at the moment.

I have suffered depression in the past and it can occasionally creep up on me depending on the situation/mood/stresses etc.

Struggling to deal with lockdown atm, juggling college work (due to start university in September to do adult nursing), keeping a healthy relationship with my partner, living under my parents roof whilst saving for a house deposit, not getting bored and having mundane days, ensuring my family stay safe and well..

I have 1 DS (he's coming up 2 in the summer) so can keep very busy running round after him and he's loving the outdoors at the moment, we are usually outside from morning till he goes in for his tea with a good nap in the pram in between - luckily have a wonderful garden for him (we understand we are in the minority to have a good space for him)
Ensuring I go out once a day for a long walk with him to get him to sleep of course.

My question is how to keep mentally positive during lockdown?
I am not an avid reader of the news but I know what's going on, the only thing is that it's on every social media, everywhere you go you're constantly reminded and it's hard to see a way out/can't see when this is all going to end and go back to normal IYSWIM?!
Obviously I know it won't be for some time..

How do you all keep mentally positive and sane in this time?

I feel as though if I don't try it'll start eating away at me soon..

Apologies that was a waffly post!!Blush

Exercise. Go out for a run (you can do this plus a walk!!) do an online class, like a HIIT class etc. a yoga tutorial on YouTube. Make sure try and keep a routine with it all. Plan a different exercise a day.

I've got a cough so we shouldn't be leaving the house but the idea of not leaving the house for 2 weeks is horrifying.
I feel so incredibly low and worried. Like I'm slipping into thick glue.
