For me, I no longer pop in a shop for 1 item sometimes twice a day!
I'm awful normally for if I've just used the last of the carrots I'd have to go and replace straight away. Even if not having carrots until after the weekly shop where they could easily be got then.
I'll often think I don't fancy anything nice we have in so I'll go to the shop to see what I can buy.

We've been in for nr 2 weeks as ds was ill. Then the new rules came Monday and I can honestly say I've gone shopping once. And had to pop to bm stores for cleaning products as they didn't have much in supermarket.
I haven't panic brought. Except a few extra treats for the kids but tbh of normally buy crap In the week so this will last.

In the nr 2 weeks I have saved enough money to buy a garden table and chairs. A kids picnic set. And a garden hose.
OK. So not the poshest of tables. Just the plastic ones. (our 1st house so all these things were on a huge to get list for when we had money)

Its shocked me that I waste prob 100 a fortnight on crap in the shops.

I've seen a nice wall art for newly painted lounge online and my aim is to have the money next week by not going in shops and order when this situation has calmed.

The week or 2 after to set money aside for bedroom wallpaper and paint.

I've also got loads done indoors and garden despite having a baby, a pre schooler and a teen in doors whilst dh was at work. And quite big jobs too. :)

I'm finding it easier to relax. Working from home in a very stressful situation, but not having to deal with the social side of being in a office is an immense relief. My insomnia is under better control and have lost myself in a book for the first time in nearly 20years. I feel much less out of control and more like myself, contented and somewhat relieved... provided I don't think too much about you know what....

I realised how much money just disappears.

I've went back to batch cooking , that saves money , I've realised that I don't need to go browse shops I can sit in and clean the house .

We had been TTC but that's been put on hold, I can't wait to be a housewife , I've loved cleaning the house top to bottom and doing everything while my DH goes to work.

Instead of being more anxious I'm feeling a lot more relaxed about everything .
