My housemate isn't doing this properly

I live in a shared flat. One of my flatmates is a very keen cyclist. Like randomly deciding to cycle to Brighton from London for fun, type keen.

He's been out all day today on his bike. He's been out most mornings this week for 4 hours or so.

He's only going out once, but surely this is stretching the government directive. He's putting the rest of us at more risk. None of us are especially vulnerable, but I'd rather not catch anything he brings home because he's been out all day.

I have spoken to him about it, but he says he's allowed out once a day, and he's technically correct. I could move back in with my parents, who are doing things right, but they are a two hour drive away, and it's not essential that I go.

I don't even think I'm posing a question, I just need to get this out.

There’s no time limit on exercise and in all honesty the risk to your flat mate is really low - if he’s cycling he is almost certainly not spending any time in proximity to others, and I can’t imagine there is much opportunity for anyone to cough or sneeze on him. Try not to worry about it - it’s much less risky than, for example, going to the shops, and we’re mostly all still having to do that.
