Hi, I work in a pharmacy as a dispenser, and am absolutely knackered and scared! Anyone else working in pharmacy feeling the same? Am coming home and just need to go straight to bed as mentally draining, I've always found it hard but atm just barely coping!

I do feel for you. It must be such a range of emotions are your employers being supportive and managing the opening hours.

I don’t work in a pharmacy but just want to say thanks for the work you are doing. People don’t always remember pharmacists and pharmacy staff when they thank the NHS, but the work you are doing is crucial. I can well believe that you feel exhausted. Hang in there.

Thank you both, we are opening an hour later, but we are going in an hour earlier than normal to get through workload, Thank you for your kind words.

My local branch is open an hour later closing for 2 hours in the afternoon (I think in part to restock) and closing an hour earlier the staff are very busy but they are practicing social distancing. It's a national chain but I know the pharmacist is very professional he has been doing this for at least 3 weeks now.

We are opening an hour later, an hour closed for dinner and closing 30 mins earlier, but patients still coming to door until normal closing time. It's just manic and I do understand this is new for everyone, and they need their medication, it's just non stop atm. How are other pharmacy workers coping with the overload ?
