Has anyone managed to use the Boots website?

I’ve been in the queue for an hour (third try) and there’s still nearly a quarter of a million people in front of me . I only want to order a packet of Nytol as I can’t sleep at the moment as I can’t seem to get tired enough sitting inside all day. All the other online chemists don’t seem to be taking any orders and the only pharmacy in my town has massive queues.

You can get Nytol on Amazon, I’ve had no luck on Boots!

I got through the queue last night. It had said 31 minutes expected wait time... it took nearly 3 hours. And then they didn't have what I wanted in stock anyway. If you're determined to go with Boots, you'll just have to stick in the queue. Make sure you don't miss your slot though, apparently they boot you off if you don't open the site within 10 minutes.

Some places are taking orders but with very long waits for dispatch - I use Pharmacy First, ordered 10 days ago and arrived today. If you need something urgently I’d queue at the pharmacy - even if boots are taking orders online it’s likely to be a long wait. Is there a pharmacy within a supermarket near you?

Simple online pharmacy had what I needed

I placed an order with them six days ago but that was before they introduced a queuing system on their website. I got an email from them today confirming it has just been dispatched from their warehouse.

When I looked at their website last week a lot of products were out of stock and things seemed to be selling out quickly. I bought some maternity pads and about 20 minutes later they'd all gone.

I got on with a 3 minute wait at 5.15am this morning, every other time I've looked it's said I'd need to wait for hours though so not sure if it was a glitch or whether I was just lucky!

Should have said there was a lot of stuff out of stock though but I managed to get most of what I needed!

I wouldn't bother. I spent hours in the queue, only to find out I couldn't even place an order.
They're also adding delivery charges (both to home and store) when it clearly states on the website that it's free.
I got locked out of my account even though I gave the right password and it continually emptied my basket when I did eventually get logged in. I just gave up in the end.

It’s a bloody terrible website at the best of times. Thanks for the recommendations of other places, managed to get some from pharmacy 2 u, hopefully it will turn up at some point this year.

Well that was an hour of my life I'll never see again, and after all the interminable waiting, it crashed, I didn't get my order, and I spent the next half an hour trying to reset my online banking Aaaaargh......and breathe - still, I cheered up my family who have had a good laugh, which is something, I suppose

4 hours later and less than 50,000 people in front of me now. I’ve already bought what I need elsewhere but I don’t like to be a quitter.

Only 13,000 people in front of me now, I’m getting so excited. It’s making my phone so glitchy so I’m fully prepared for it to crash as soon as it gets to my turn.
