Is anyone absolutely exhausted all the time?

Despite doing a lot less than usual I’m constantly tired, in the day I can barely stay awake and then at night I can’t sleep.
I’m exercising and walking - it’ll be even worse when that goes - but it’s making no difference. My brain is foggy in the day and then wide awake all night.

Yes I'm lying here doing nothing

I read a thread on twitter yesterday from a medical professional who said that tiredness is the body’s response to ‘playing dead’. We can’t fight or flight from the virus so our bodies are trying to play dead. I’m not explaining it very well! I’ll try and find a link to the original thread!

I've been the same for nearly two weeks just constantly feeling exhausted. Today I didn't wake until 11am, felt really sick and had a headache and forced myself to go back to sleep. I woke up again at 2.15pm feeling a little bit better but still not feeling great.

Me. I was shattered at 9:30 last night, yawning so much when your eyes water. Went to bed and couldn't sleep and was still awake at 2 am. Managed to sleep, woke up at 6 and 8 then got up at 10:30. I've been tired ever since and could sleep right now.

I've had some chest pains and a hoarse voice as well over the last couple of weeks, as well as a slight cough and occasional slightly raised temperature, but haven't had any breathing issues, no sore throat. The headache and sickness feeling this morning was new. I was very aware of my heart beat last night. I don't know if it was palpatitions but it was scaring me before I fell asleep because I was just so aware of it.

That's really interesting Caramel. A few years ago, I was going through a mental rough patch and eventually diagnosed as having ctpsd, but I never understood why I slept so much during that time. I wonder if this is why.

I think it's a result of not doing much. Like when you do some exercise after you have energy, but the opposite.

I'm knackered but I'm at work, nhs manager and so it's been full on for weeks.
