What do you think of this? I have a 3 and 4 year old that may require to use the facility due to being a category 1 key worker. I'm not sure if it will do more harm than good.

Not criticising the rules, I understand they need to be in place. But, how can a 3 and 4 year old understand.

Not sure what you’re question is? Do you mean emotional harm vs infection spreading?

Your!

Yes. I also want to ensure he is emotionally safe. I understand this may have to take a back seat at the moment, but very concerned this will cause my children anxiety.

They’ll be reminded lots about the rules during the day.

It’s a last resort option, so if there is no one else available to care for them then this is the best way to do it.

From what I’ve seen the good early years centres are making it as anxiety-free for children as possible. So they’re not being plonked down and yelled out if they dare approach for a hug, it’s more about making games out of staying in their own circles on the ground, spinning round with arms out not touching each other, doing lots of story time etc.

The rules are written so that an adult knows the procedure - these won’t be communicated in the same way to children.

That's reassuring. Thank you.
