Online groceries - how are substitutions being dealt with at the moment?

My mum is self isolating and has managed to get an Asda delivery for tomorrow (she was canny and booked it weeks ago!)
She's worried about substitutions. Does anyone know how they are being managed at the moment? Are you still able to reject what you don't want?

I'm surprised @Petiolaris. When I have a sub (Tesco) if it's a more expensive item they honour the price of what is being substituted and if it's a cheaper item I pay that price. You should take it up with customer service if that is not the case with your shopping.

I just accepted the subs and took some stuff I didn’t want to the food bank drop off.

Had my Asda delivery this morning. Subs were good and anything unwanted you refund online yourself. You can always give unwanted stuff to the food bank?

Badly at our Tesco if the 60 Jaffa cakes we have is anything to go by. But as click and collect mistakes go I’ll take it. Grin

All the things they said were unavailable that morning and couldn’t swap out because the site was crashing were in my shopping but none of the offers were applied despite showing them online as i did the shopping.

The only things we got substituted were cornflakes, for a bigger packet and eggs for a different brand

Bagels, toilet paper and spreadable butter not available in any form.

Toilet paper is only need right now, we have 1.5 rolls left after last buying in February

In my experience, Asda and Morrisons simply aren't doing substitutions at all. I'm only getting 50% of my order at each.

Morrisons are not taking any substitutions back at all, you just have to take the delivery as is.
