Freezer lucky dip

Anyone else surviving on slightly odd combinations of food from the freezer which would never normally be seen together on a plate?

Me and the DC are getting into the randomness of it, and it’s kind of fun. Picking up a few bits here and there from the local shop but I’m determined not to go to the supermarket, and will hold out until my online shop finally comes on Thursday. As long as we don’t all have rickets by then Grin.

Yes, we are doing this! Had a Christmas pudding yesterday!

We ran out of milk and DD and I discovered dry crunchy nut cornflakes and raisins are perfectly acceptable.

We had Jacobs crackers and chocolate sauce (meant for putting on ice cream) as a treat the other day, it was lovely!

Seeing the freezer burn and cooking it anyway...

We are weirdly enjoying it, and not just the freezer. I'm determined to get though every tin of pulses I've got tucked away at the back of the cupboard, dried lentils, packets of seasoning etc

Also using up all the leftover bits of stuff, so doing dinners where 2 people have fish fingers and one person has a pie

Yes I’m doing this over the weekend so I don’t have to shop till Monday. Just remembered I’ve got a Christmas pudding too!
