Hi, just looking for advice if anyone is in the same situation. I am a ward manager in a private hospital and currently 26 weeks pregnant. I have had a risk assessment completed by my manager which states that due to the covid, I would need to self isolate and to work from home. When the request for IT access was put in, this was refused by the regional managers. I am due to have a meeting on Monday with my manager and HR to discuss my opinions as there seems to be a push from the company for any of the vulnerable people to go on sick pay for the 12 weeks, including pregnant women. I have stated that I’m not sick and I would be going off as it’s a risk that the workplace cannot mitigate against, so maternity rights would imply that I am to be suspended with full pay. This is what my union have also stated on their website in reference to covid risk and pregnancy. I’m just concerned that there is some loophole that I’m unaware of?
