Exposure to confirmed CV

I work in a residential care home where one of the 150 residents was taken to hospital and then confirmed positive for CV.

The nurse who was with her before she went to hospital (employed by the care home, and we dont have masks etc like in hospitals) and I'm assuming the other staff around her have been asked to self isolate for 7 days.

But isn't the government guidance 14 days?

It’s supposed to be 7 days for those who already have symptoms and 14 days for those who have been in contact, because they have to go though the incubation period as well.

Exactly. I really thought the CEO would be doing what he can to keep the residents and staff safe but it now doesnt seem like it.
