Food parcels / delivery for most vulnerable?

This was announced on Monday by the PM.

Apparently the most vulnerable people who are self isolating for 12 weeks will be identified and receive a letter or text with details of how they can get food delivered.

Has anyone actually received communication about this yet?

I have a friend having chemo and very unwell, no local family or friends, hasn’t been able to get a shopping delivery slot.

During the announcement they said if you don’t hear anything contact yourGP who will have details. Friend’s details had no further information.

I’m just wondering if and when this is going to happen. My friend has enough food to get through until mid week next week then will run out.

Have a look at Morrisons food boxes, not actually what you're asking about, but might be a stop gap to help your friend.

Thanks @AdaColeman

I’ve been on the Morrison’s food box site all day refreshing the page awaiting a slot. I’ll keep trying!
