I hope he's ok.
Honestly

He is experiencing mild symptoms.

OP posts:
cologne4711 · 27/03/2020 11:31

I think with all the people he meets it's difficult to avoid, ditto Prince Charles.

I don't wish illness on him and hope he gets over it quickly.

WarmSausageTea · 27/03/2020 11:32

I doubt he could follow the plot of the teddy-bear’s picnic.

And he certainly wasn’t following social distancing guidelines when being chauffeured around.

GrumpyHoonMain · 27/03/2020 11:33

Yet another rich person tested over NHS staff who have treated Covid-19 patients (but when display symptoms are told to self-isolats).

adaline · 27/03/2020 11:33

It's not exactly surprising.

He's constantly in rooms full of other people and several other MP's have had it too. He's relatively young and has access to good medical care - I'm sure he'll be fine!

AlternativePerspective · 27/03/2020 11:34

This post is highly inappropriate. A lot of people will be tested positive for a multitude of reasons.

Now isn’t the time for sniping,we’re all in the same position.

DontBiteTheBoobThatFeedsYou · 27/03/2020 11:35

It's the Queen I'm worried about ☹️

AlternativePerspective · 27/03/2020 11:35

And it might be worth considering that he has a pregnant partner. But carry on gloating if that makes people feel better.

Randomnessembraced · 27/03/2020 11:36

Poor man! His partner is pregnant. He must be exhausted and stressed. Of course the PM needs testing.

Dreamersandwishers · 27/03/2020 11:36

There’s always one, Grumpy... He’s the Prime Minister ffs, he’s meeting people all day every day. Of course he needs to be tested before he gets to the stage of being taken to hospital.
I can’t stand him, but I don’t wish this on anyone and I don’t begrudge him a test.

BritishHorrorStory · 27/03/2020 11:36

To be honest, I think that at some point, whether mild or extreme, the majority of us are going to catch it at some point. So anyone crowing over this news (nobody on this thread, I just mean in general) is pretty stupid IMO.

Helpnotsurewhattodovirus · 27/03/2020 11:37

Jeez, that’s unkind. Not a Tory but I think he’s going a good job and hope he’s ok.

Anyway of course they’re going to bloody test the PM, don’t be so chippy.

shinyredbus · 27/03/2020 11:39

Poor guy - I hope he recovers soon.

Bienentrinkwasser · 27/03/2020 11:40

I wonder if this doesn’t highlight the fact that we probably have a great deal more mild cases than we realise at this stage which might actually be positive.

Bojo1 · 27/03/2020 11:41

No, he probably didn’t, OP. Also, doesn’t wash his hands after the toilet as well with him being a Tory and all.

Grow the fuck up

NemophilistRebel · 27/03/2020 11:41

I feel sorry for his pregnant girlfriend right now
Itl be scary for her

adaline · 27/03/2020 11:42

I wonder if he followed his guidelines on hand washing and handshakes

You can follow all the guidelines and still test positive. You know that, right?

Likethebattle · 27/03/2020 11:42

He looks shattered lately he really needs to rest. I don’t like him or the tories but I wouldn’t wish this virus on anyone especially a man with a stressful job and a pregnant partner.

Sux2buthen · 27/03/2020 11:44

Be prime minister they said
It'll be fun they said
Of course they tested the prime minister, it would be bizarre not to

SquashedSpring · 27/03/2020 11:44

I think this is unfair, I'm sure many people have caught the illness, despite following all of the guidelines. Let's not start blaming people for getting ill.

FredaFrogspawn · 27/03/2020 11:44

To be fair to him, he has been very visible and clearly hasn’t been sitting with his feet up at Chequers.

Topseyt · 27/03/2020 11:44

I'm not a Tory either, but I hope he recovers quickly. I would wish that for everyone. This should not be a political issue, or a cause for points scoring.

Of course he needed to be tested. He is in contact with a huge number of people, in bug meetings with them, in the House of Commons etc.

NemophilistRebel · 27/03/2020 11:46

It might have also been one of the home test kits he was trying out

PicsInRed · 27/03/2020 11:49

Given it's airborne, and said to be right through Westminster, I'd say he breathed it in.

Milicentbystander72 · 27/03/2020 11:50

Twitter is disgusting on this. People literally falling over themselves in glee. People saying 'it's all on him' and 'you reap what you sow'

The man has a pregnant partner ffs. I wish people would take politics out of this. This is affecting ALL of us. He never said he was immune to it.

Tellmetruth4 · 27/03/2020 11:50

I can’t stand him but think he’s done a good job during this crisis and wish him all the best. His pregnant girlfriend must be in bits too. It’s known that stress weakens the immune system and he’s looked shattered recently so it was only a matter of time with all the people he meets. I think it’s safe to assume the entire cabinet have been infected. What will happen if they’re all out of action for a few days?

Anyone gloating needs to have a word with themselves and realise Dominic Raab, a man with such a lack of empathy that I wonder if he’s the latest Terminator model, is next in line to lead us.
