Which option is safer?

DH and I both keyworkers. No patient facing but safety critical. Both travel to work by car, I’m mainly isolated most of the day but must be on site. He works in a small team in a bunker. No going out once we are at home and all online food shopping etc so no need for any social interaction.

My parents (late 50s, early 60s) and some adult siblings live on my way to work. Also all in the house and have been for the last 3 weeks, online delivery etc.

I think we have all had CV (hence the 3 weeks indoors already) as my dad was in close contact with a confirmed case whilst looking after our youngest and in both households we have all fallen ill one by one.

Is it safer to send my 2 kids to school or to my family?
School is obviously open to families like us but I’m worried about DC mixing with other high risk children of keyworkers, whereas we are living in a ‘closed house’ apart from our work, and my families house is a ‘closed house’ no one is coming or going.

I’m aware about the guidance about older people not looking after children, however I’m 99% sure they have already had it and it seems less risky then sending DC to the school melting pot?

Any thoughts welcome, we have all been home for the last 2 weeks due to being unwell so Monday would be the first day back.

If no-one in your family is high risk due to underlying health conditions, I would send the children there rather than school.
