Does anyone on here have a toddler they think has symptoms of coronavirus? If so, what are you doing about it?

Mine (18mths) has just got over what could be coronavirus. His fever was up and down for a week, often up to 40 degrees. His cough was horrible at times. 9 days in: he’s better! Since yesterday.

I gave calpol and phoned 111 when he was at his worst. They just said to call 999 if his breathing got bad.

I hope your child gets well soon.

Oh I’m glad he’s feeling better! My dd isn’t very well, she has a fever, a slight cough and other horrible symptoms. She looks terrible I’ve gave her some calpol and just trying to get her to rest but unsure what else to do, as I didn’t think they could do anything about it anyway if they did think it could even be coronavirus?

Is that the general advice then do you know? If you think you could have the virus you only need to go to the hospital if they have difficulty breathing?

Sorry I missed your reply. How is she? Yes, that’s the advice, but definitely call 111 if you’re worried.

The whole household also need to stay in (no walks/shops) for 14 days at least.

We all had a range of symptoms. 2 of my dc had vomiting, one had tight chest, all of us had sore throats and headaches.

I hope you’re all well soon!!
