Refunds for holidays

Appreciate that this is a bit of a first world problem at the moment but wanted to ask for advice and others' experiences.
We were due to go to Africa in a couple of weeks which has understandably been cancelled by the tour company. However, they are not offering refunds, just a voucher to use within 18 months. Obviously no one knows what the situation will be like, especially in that region in that time. I wondered whether their offer was the same as other people had been given or what, if anything we could do. Many thanks

I was due to go on Saturday. They phoned me yesterday and tried offering vouchers, but I insisted on, and got, a full refund.

You are entitled to a full refund under the Package Travel Regulations. Don’t let them fob you off. A lot of agents are ignoring the Regulations. Simon Calder wrote a good article about it in the Independent today.

Not going until June but was told it would be vouchers too. Thanks for putting this up

Same here. I can't get through to them to say I need the money returning. Very annoying.
