Summer holiday abroad

I know there’s far more important things going on in the scheme of things but just wondering what others are doing if they have holidays booked in the summer.

I have flights booked on easyJet for me and the DC to go to France in August. I’ve booked 2 different places to stay, one through Airbnb and one through booking.com. I can get full refunds on these right up until the beginning of August, but at the moment the flights are still showing as being valid on the easyJet site.

I think it’s fairly unlikely that the holiday will be happening, and I could do with the money back that I’ve paid out as my income has dropped significantly (I’m self employed). But it seems a bit of a gamble to cancel the accommodation until I know for sure the flights aren’t happening either.

I don't know either. I've got flights booked with BA, and accomodation booked directly with Lalandia in Billund. It's for the last week of August and I don't think it's likely it'll go ahead. I've also booked for center parcs in May bank holiday (stupidly paid in full already before they extended the deadline).

Both center parcs and lalandia are closed until April and they are only processing those booked for these periods. So I assume we won't know anything until later.

And BA is still saying the flight going ahead too.

We've cancelled our Florida holiday for August 😪
But planning either Japan or California for next year is keeping me going!!

I think August is a long time away so who knows what will be happening by then. However if you need the accommodation money right now for bills and food then I'd cancel it, if not then wait until nearer the time - I think we'll have a lot more clarity around the August situation by the end of June.

I just think we need to plan for making our homes ready for a holiday, I know we're stuck here but I want to create a holiday feel, starting Easter.

Ive cancelled my accomodation because i need the money, left the flights in the hope i can still go.
I will just rebook accommodation if i can go but i cant see it happening really.
Im travelling alone and i doubt i will be well enough to be able to enjoy it even if this situation is improved.

We are supposed to be going end of May to Greece (visiting) we received the attached from TUI yesterday so we are going to rebook for later in July.

Though we are now having to choose between taking DS out of school (never done before, this holiday was booked for may half term) and paying ££ or re-booking school holiday and paying £££££

Though the message indicates all post 1st July so far fine, but all to end of April cancelled, but doesn't give advice for April to June. So confused.

We are booked to the USA in August. Not cancelling until the last minute, but they have offered us cash credit so will swop to next year if we have too.

I don't think things will be ok by then but if a miracle happens I'm not cancelling yet.

I have flights booked with easyJet and BA for Copenhsgen, Berlin and Vienna end of August. Holding bookings with Holiday Inn for all 3 places but which can be cancelled with no problem.
I also have a school group travel booked for July which is looking doomed.
Not cancelling any of the flights now though or won't get refund/voucher. Waiting for them to ground the flights and see what offer they make.
