Apparently, it arrived by text and "they" are tracking mobile phone movements to know when we go out.

Part of me thought, "that's a good idea". Another part, "surely not"

It's not true is it, but maybe it should be? Or a gross innovation etc ...

Ds went for a smoke in his garden the other day - 8 police arrived in his street - he really thought they were for him! A stolen car with 4 lads had parked outside his house.
Police let them go!! All from a nearby town so had no business being there - car was later towed away by police.. No action taken at all!!
Yet on our side of the same town they are patrolling the seafront keeping people off the beach - so the paths are even busier now. Don't quite understand tbh...

The police are welcome to try to track my mostly un-charged PAYG mobile which is not connected to the internet.

If it's receiving a 3/4G signal, they'll have a pretty good idea where you are from the off. A little work to triangulate the cell towers and they'd have you within shouting distance.

If they really wanted to go all 1984, they'd link phone numbers and payments and then filter through those to single out a pattern to have a pretty educated guess at who you were.

As I say, "if" ...

I really feel that mrs Harris needs to seriously consider her behaviour, and the consequences it has for wider society 🤣😂🤣

You'd be better off with a BitCoin address, since the government suspended cash because of covid ....

DGRossetti It's not connected to the internet - can only make/receive calls/texts and is mostly dead anyway so good luck to them Grin
