Is this 'acceptable'?

So, in my daily walk, I walk past my cousin's house.

Do you think it reasonable for me to be able to text her, say I'm at her gate, and us have a chat, with her at the doorstep?

Distance about 3-4m

I’ve seen lots of neighbours around here doing that. I’ve bumped into friends whilst out and had a little catch up from a distance.

Course it's fine!

I'd keep a bigger distance. There was a case in China where the virus was found to have travelled 4.5 metres and infected others. Albeit this was on a bus, not outside.

How about she opens her window just a little and you stay at an angle that nothing would pass through the window??

I think your plan is completely acceptable, myself.

As for the bus in China, how does anyone know that happened, that the bus was 100% the cause of the spread?

@littlemissmuffins

Erm... So there were only two people on the bus and they kept apart 4.5m at all times...??

I'll take my chances ;)

Surely it happened because the bus was an enclosed space? If the OP and her cousin are in the open air at least 2m apart then its fine

My mum (keyworker) came round yesterday. She sat at the end on our drive way (big drive way) we sat by the front door. It was lovely to be in the sun and having a shouted conversation with our loved ones. Kids found the novelty brillisnt and made banners Smile
