Could this be COVID-19?

Lungs feel uncomfortable--kind of scratchy yesterday, and intermittent very mild pain today. Never experienced anything similar before. Also slight breathlessness. Coughed a couple of times, but wouldn't say I actually had a cough. No symptoms apart from that; feel fine otherwise.

Possibly, no one can know without a test. Could be anything. Some people get only very minor symptoms

However the advice is that if you suspect you should self isolate completely for 7 days. Other household members for 14

I've got similar symptoms today, with a few bouts of nausea. I must admit, I'm actually terrified.

Grandmi · 25/03/2020 23:29

My sister and partner have both tested positive to CV . Try and relax, take paracetamol and drink lots of water !! They are now feeling exhausted but getting better. 💐

ofwarren · 25/03/2020 23:31

@Grandmi
How long have they been ill for?

Numbersarefun · 25/03/2020 23:32

Grandmi how did they get a test?

ofwarren · 26/03/2020 10:47

How are you feeling today @magpie99?

Magpie99 · 26/03/2020 11:26

I'm feeling better, @ofwarren - thanks for asking! :-) Still very slightly breathless, but pain/discomfort has gone. No idea whether it is/was COVID-19 or not -- but of course I'm self-isolating for 7 days, just in case. Will be interesting to find out when the antibody tests become available...

Oh good news. Hopefully it was something else and it's gone now

Magpie99 · 26/03/2020 11:53

@ofwarren Hopefully it was/is mild COVID-19 and it's gone/going! Then I could be immune. But no way of knowing that without an antibody test.

Yes, that would be good!

I've had a tight chest and a bit of a headache for a couple of days, today I've woken up with a really nasty headache, a cough and my face is burning, my lungs feel 'sore' - no temperature though.

Already in Isolation as DH had something similar over the weekend.

Obviouspretzel · 26/03/2020 12:48

I've had diarrhoea for three days, not severe and felt a little under the weather. Didn't really think much of it. However, I've read that it presents as this in more cases than previously thought, and that outcomes are worse, so panicking a little. Checked the NHS website and it only asks about cough and fever which I don't have. What does anyone think ?

ofwarren · 26/03/2020 14:18

@MrsMcTeacher
I have the burning face thing!
It's so weird as I don't have a temperature.

Uptheshard · 26/03/2020 14:23

Hey all...I've had bad diarrhoea... temp.of 37.4.... reddish face.... feeling under the weather...no cough .
But very panicked and unable to sleep.
Shit isn't it.
At home alone with 2 kids.
Overwhelming....

Needingsupportplease · 26/03/2020 14:26

I've been exhausted, snuffly, sneezing, flushed, achy and now my 10 month old daughter has a raging temperature.. scary times

Magpie99 · 26/03/2020 17:15

I don't think anyone needs to panic if they think they might have it. Probably most of us are going to get it sooner or later, even with controls in placethe important thing is that we don't all get it at once. We are seeing examples in the media of people who have had the worst of itand quite right to emphasize, those, too, since it's important to impress on all of us why it's so important that we all stay at home--but it's still true that the great majority of people will be only mildly affected. Think of Nadine Dorries' 84-year-old mum!

I have felt iller than I have ever felt before.
Day 1 - tight chest, cough
2 - awful headache, lethargy, fever/chills and struggling to breathe, unable to leave bed, still coughing but not a lot.
3 - same as yesterday but intensified, add in nausea and diarrhoea, the gasping for breath was terrifying
4 - today so Far, hot but not feverish still feel very unwell and the diarrhoea persists. Still can't eat or drink anything other than sips of water
