Maternity leave

Hi ladies

Not sure if anyone has any advice, I am currently on maternity leave and my maternity money will end in May. I had told my employer I would be returning in aug/sept so having a year off. The company I work for are key and are working from home currently. My husband is self employed and had to finish his business last week as requested by the government. Obviously we are waiting to see what help he may get. I just wondered if I would be entitled to anything? Or if I need to request to return to work? I'm just worried as we have children, bills, mortgage etc and I don't know where we stand. Thanks xx

Why not return early and work from home? Childcare is a problem for everyone so I doubt anyone would bat an eyelid over you working with the baby. Alternatively you could return early and use holiday. You would still be paid.
