Will my start date be postponed

I was a home carer but haven't been getting shifts for about 3 weeks so I applied for a carehome before we were told to stay at home and got offered the job on Monday awaiting on references and a update to pvg
Will my start date be postponed due to this virus and the government telling us to stay at home as I've not actually started new job yet?

Only asked if there was anyone out there that knew maybe as they have just been through it or in the same position etc gesshh ask a question and get a a reply like that the be kind thing totally out the window now more be not kind

Well I would say the opposite, they might need you asap as they will be working harder to up their care for residents or you may be needed to cover for ill/self isolating staff. I'm sure a quick call tomorrow will sort it out.
