How likely do you think further lockdown is?

Seems very split on social media of people saying the restrictions will ease soon and others thinking it will get much worse. I find it bizarre that many people are flouting the rules in terms of businesses staying open and gatherings outdoors, children out playing etc yet the government doesn’t seems to be saying much at all since lockdown? I can’t even imagine what to expect next, when I will get back to work, will it get worse or better....

i think its got to be a lot more enforced than it is right now...life is carrying on as normal

local authority gardeners out
house moves
kids playing in groups

It’ll depend how many people comply. It’s hard to judge that as a whole... earlier this week it felt like everyone was still out and about near me; the police have got a bit more active and today was much quieter overall. I hope it stays that way.

Deaths are down for the day, and we can hope that continues... but I wouldn’t be surprised if we did have a period of tighter lockdown.

SapphireSalute · 25/03/2020 21:45

deaths are down? on what?

Lycidas · 25/03/2020 21:46

@SapphireSalute

What do you propose people do it they’re contractually obliged to complete on a property?

RiftGibbon · 25/03/2020 21:48

Soon. Boris had been very wishy-washy from the start, and far too many people not understanding/following the advice.

Daisiest · 25/03/2020 21:49

It needs to get tighter and I think it'll be for much longer than 3 weeks.

Daisiest · 25/03/2020 21:50

It's been ridiculous around here. People stopping for chats on the green, shaking hands etc. Madness.

SapphireSalute · 25/03/2020 21:57

@Lycidas then they do all they can to put it off! speak to those involved

its not just the actual movers, its deliverymen/women,furniture deliveries, wifi installation etc, all those things needed when moving!! its not a 2 person job, its continual contact

Allofaworry · 25/03/2020 22:20

Every time I look out my window the street is full, I look on social media and kids are playing in groups, non essential businesses still opening and just don’t get how it’s going to work

Everyone seems to be complying here. Il be so upset if I cant use my garden.

Bonkerz · 25/03/2020 22:46

We haven't stepped foot outside our property boundary since Friday. The street was busy over the weekend but it's quieter now. People in their hardens but no one in the street.
