Would you get a takeaway?

I've read that the heat of cooking almost certainly kills any virus.

We've had to cancel all birthday plans for my DD12 and she really wants sweet and sour as a treat.

Yes I would, takeaways have been allowed to stay open as the risk has been judged to be minimal. I'd choose a takeaway with a good hygiene rating, as I would in any case. Pay using a card and get the delivery man to leave on doorstep or in the porch. There would be a very small risk of transfer of the virus from the packaging onto your hands but you can minimise this by decanting it onto plates when you get it, zapping in microwave if not piping hot already, and washing your hands before you eat.

Enjoy!

I'm still planning to have my fortnightly takeaway, keep supporting a local business that has had to close its very busy restaurant. Just take extra precautions, blast the food when it arrives.

Most are now only leaving at doorstep, and my usual one is now only accepting online payment.

I had one on Tuesday so yes. Pay with card and get them to leave it on the doorstep.

Yes a takeaway is fine. Looking forward to one tomorrow night

Absolutely ... it is hard enough for you daughter having a birthday in these times. You cannot begrudge this.
