Can steam kill coronavirus

Can steam kill coronavirus? I've got a hand-held steamer and looking forward to using it on my fabric sofa and cushions. Can steam really kill the virus? How long does the virus need to be in contact with the steam to be completely destroyed?

Its a bit more scientific
The standard temperature for an autoclave is 121 degrees Celsius. ... The reason for this is that simply bringing something up to the temperature of boiling water, 100 degrees Celsius (212 degrees Fahrenheit), is not sufficient to sterilise it because bacterial spores can survive this temperature
But that's in a controlled environment of an autoclave.

There are a couple of odds and ends that will survive this but we would never do anything if we know it all.
Personally it would do no harm but the main culprit for spreading it is lack of hand washing, using tissues more than once and coughing.
Just keep your hands clean and general hygiene up to scratch we also do a daily door handle clean and clean the porch handle after deliveries.
