What’s going to happen do we think. I’ve several friends in bits about no work, not being paid. Does anyone have any advice/ help I can pass on?

Yes yet another day passes with no announcement on this. DH is a contractor and director of a Ltd Company. Sort of employed by the Ltd Company but also self employed as a business owner.

He is working from home at the moment but its not really working out as he needs to be on site and the site is closing soon.

A plan for the self-employed is coming tomorrow. It has taken time because it's a lot more complex than for the employed on PAYE.

My DH is SE employed he called the government helpline and was advised to apply for universal credit. He also enquired about the new coronavirus business continuity loans but was told these only start at £25k and are aimed at big businesses not sole traders!
