How long do you think gyms will be shut?

I know this isn’t that important but my son has been going to the gym for months and is trying to buy weights online (most sold out or weeks for delivery). He would need to spend over £300 as he’s been using quite heavy weights so just wondering if people expect they’ll be closed for months or likely to open after the 3 week lockdown.

Has he asked on local Facebook groups? Someone might have some they don’t use anymore.

They're very far from essential and so I would expect quite a long time. the lockdown isn't going to be for three weeks IMO.

June/July earliest. You haven't even reached the peak yet. (speaking from Spain, and neither have we, 2 weeks ahead of you)

Gyms are literally the worst places for spread of illness. They are the last place anyone should be. I used to do regular resistance training and I always picked up viruses etc.
