Annual Leave

I work in a role that is not an essential role for the Government but is the key revenue generator in my business - so essential for my company. I am the only one who can do my role, and though I supported my team to WFH rather than lose their jobs they are frankly being a bit shit about it, are not being very productive, and are basically taking the piss. I am hoping they pull their fingers out of their arses soon as I do not have the time to cover for them - I am already working two days of overtime per week for my own job role.

Just had an email from HR stating we need to take at least three weeks of our remaining annual leave before the end of June.

I have a big holiday planned at the end of the year (3.5 weeks) which was all signed off. I am not allowed to go back to work with more then ten days of TOIL left so I am being forced to take it where I can (Friday afternoon will be my first TOIL hours). We had another holiday planned as well in September which may not happen now, and my Christmas time off. This has all been agreed as it is very hard for me to take leave at certain parts of the year.

I am so pissed off that I now have to take three weeks before the end of June, when I will be in lockdown - I am on the twelve week list so I cannot leave the house for twelve weeks anyway.

Anyone else have an employer who has done this?
