Event 201

Today I found out about event 201 which was a dummy run of a global pandemic of a Coronavirus which took place last October. This actually happened, no conspiracy theory there, is this coincidence? It was partially funded by Bill Gates, I'm not entirely sure what the deal is with him but I think there are conspiracies about him trying to take over the world or something.
What really shocked me was in Tom Hank's Instagram post with the corona typewriter he references the number 201.
I find the whole concept of Event 201 very strange, the fact it almost mirrors what has actually since happened, and more strange is that while the media talk of 'predictions' in the Simpson's and the book which mentions a virus that starts in wuhan, there isn't any media speculation on this event.
Anyone equally intrigued or is it just coincidence?

Well a flu or similar pandemic has been predicted as likely for some time in is a high threat on global risk registers so doing a test run for a likely catastrophic event seems sensible.

Sensible yes, but a shame with dummy runs things have still got so out of hand

We have always known that a Coronavirus pandemic would come along and cause problems.

We know this because SARS and MERS were caused by coronaviruses.

So yes it's a coincidence. And not a very unlikely one either.
