We're currently living with the in-laws (myself, DP and DD aged 1). Both DP and I are following all of the rules. We are working from home and have not left the house in days. Once a week I will go to the supermarket on my own.
PIL on the other hand, have not changed a single thing and I am TERRIFIED of them bringing the virus into the house. They are both still going to work (completely unessential), popping to the shops once or twice a day, visiting friends and family and MIL got her nails done yesterday. FIL is even still visiting his brother, whose young daughter they suspect has CV! He claims that it's okay because they didn't touch each other, but he is going in their house!
DP has a heart condition so is high risk. How can I keep my family safe if they're swanning about as if it's your average day?!
Luckily we have a separate bathroom and living room so are not in much contact with them, but we share a kitchen and they are constantly coming over whilst I'm working and interacting with DD. I've asked that we keep separate as long as they continue to go out but they've said that as it's their house they'll go where they like. Every time I go into the kitchen I am cleaning everything before I touch it etc but it has made me so paranoid. DP and I are washing our hands so often that they are cracked and bleeding, because everything we touch we worry that they could've touched just before us.
What else do I do to keep us safe?!
