Has anyone seen this? covid.joinzoe.com/
I've just registered-quick and easy. It's an app for a research project. Details are:

Take 1-minute to self-report daily, even if you are well.

Help our scientists identify:

• High-risk areas in the UK.

• Who is most at risk, by better understanding symptoms linked to underlying health conditions.

• How fast the virus is spreading in your area.

It's a private nutrition company, albeit one run by academics. Now what do you think their motivation for collecting health data on private individuals might be?

ADreamOfGood · 25/03/2020 12:44

Oops- I started typing that before your second post.

I was just about to start a thread on the same thing. Glad I took a second to have a look first!

I've just joined up and it was very quick and simple to use. I can understand people having reservations though.

I have downloaded this earlier after it was posted by a nurse friend. I have all the symptoms but as I’m ‘ok’ I haven’t reported it to anyone other than work. I feel like they need some of this information officially.

TheSpottedZebra · 25/03/2020 12:54

I think I they're using the app platform as it already exists.

I gave my name, email, year of birth, height and weight, postcode. It also asks you if you have particular health, issues, or take particular medications. Then each day I report any symptoms, or the lack of them. It's for large scale, short notice data modelling.
