So worked at home all day yesterday. Finished at 4.30 and was literally sleeping by 5.30. I had a few coughs yesterday but nothing serious. My back is sore to touch round my lung area and I feel chesty. I feel as if I am just clearing my throat all the time - throat a bit sore. The main symptom is feeling absolutely washed out. Don't have a temperature so far but did feel a bit clammy yesterday. Literally can't do any work today as feel so tired. What do I do?

You need to treat like you would a flu so lots of fluid, rest, paracetamol (not ibuprofen) etc. I’ve heard people have found symptom relief with hot drinks and steam inhalation.

You don’t need to contact your GP or 111 unless you start to find it really hard to catch your breath. There’s no need to panic at that stage but that’s the point you might need extra support with oxygen or medications for secondary infections.

Do you have anyone (a friend or colleague perhaps) you can agree to check in with daily?

I have my family at home also but just wondered if we should all be self isolating. Am I imagining it? Wondered if I am talking myself into having the virus although one of my sons has similar symptoms.

Better to err on the side of caution at the moment.

I’ve had some very vague symptoms that could absolutely be attributed to anxiety/stress but without a test who’s to say. It’s unnerving to read that some people may not realise they’ve had anything more than a few ‘off’ days/weeks.

It’s much better to treat every symptom as potentially covid rather than dismiss as hypochondria.

I'd self-isolate everyone in your household as a unit for two weeks as all of you could be either incubating it or have it with light symptoms. We're doing the same here, we're on day 10. And tell work that you're sick so you're not having to work through it and you can go to bed and rest.

Thanks everyone
