My daughter's partner has to be shielded due to an autoimmune condition.
He has to go to the hospital, on the 3rd April, for an infusion and the hospital have said he must attend.
He doesn't drive. I will have been self isolating for 13 days by the time of the appointment. I have decided to self isolate for no other reason than to see if I can take him.
I live alone.
I'm terrified that I could put him at risk but he has to get to hospital.
I would drop him off and pick him up afterwards.
What would you do??

Let him decide. Should be ok if you isolate .

Yes, let him decide. But to be honest someone has to take him and it sounds like you are best placed to

Make sure he gets detailed instructions from the hospital about which entrance to use etc

Take him and sit him in the back seat with a window open. Clean the car before you go, leave it without use for as long as possible before you take him so that the surfaces are not contaminated and put a freshly washed sheet on the back seat. He should wear gloves and a mask for the entire journey and absolutely avoid touching his face, mouth and eyes.

He's going to be safer going with you than going on public transport.

Thanks, everyone.
It's what I thought but you second guess everything at the moment!
