Is this persistent runny nose/cough an after affect of the Covid19?

I came down with quite severe flu like symptoms on the 7th Feb. It hit me so quick. Worked hard at the gym then swam 40 lengths and felt great until I got out of the pool and started shivering. Within 2 hours I could hardly leave the sofa. I then had 5 days of very high temp, horrendous shivers and sweats and could barely stand. Then a pretty violent dry cough. I was back at the gym though on day 8Grin. No other symptoms. I’m never ill and exercise a lot(well used to Hmm) so had a pretty good immune system IMO.

It’s now been over 6 weeks and the dry cough has turned mucousy and chesty and is intermittent but not going away. What’s really annoying though is the runny nose which came on about 4 weeks ago. I have to blow my house several times a day and there’s lot of it although very thin and saliva like (sorry TMI). It’s driving me mad!

Could this have been Covid19 and is that why the cough and runny nose is still there?

Anyone actually had it and having any long term after affects?

Aha I had the virus I think for about a week from March 21 and have had runny nose and wet cough on and off since then. Might be hayfever and I have had similar symptoms before.

But I do wonder whether it is related.

I'm missing cold water swimming which usually knocks colds on the head....
