Child tax credits / home learning - what is child minding in C19 age?

Children at home, I should be working. Our lovely child minder can do an hour or two a day with them remotely just to mind them and talk them through what they should be doing. Does this count as child minding or do I have to update the government now that I have no child minding?

Do you still pay child care costs?

I will be paying her for doing this. Like many parents, I can’t both work and help kids do school work.

My question is whether the child minder has to be physically present to count as doing the job.

What's with the spikiness? Hope you get the answers you seek.

Wasn’t meant to be spiky!

I can’t imagine anyone in authority having the time or inclination to check, TBH.

Extraordinary times, unusual solutions s. I would just do it, if it were me.
