Was this the BBQ that someone posted about this morning. Can't find link?

Thepigeonsarecoming · 24/03/2020 19:31

I though that too as her description matches the photos

I hope the OP of that post can confirm. Good job if it is. Hopefully make people listen.

MrsSnitchnose · 24/03/2020 19:34

The earlier thread was mine but it wasn't this one, we're in Manchester

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 24/03/2020 19:36

Good. Fkn idiots.

NewYearNewTwatName · 24/03/2020 19:37

oh I saw your thread earlier MrsSnitch did you ring the police in the end?

I thought its looked just how you described it too!

Lordfrontpaw · 24/03/2020 19:37

Why do some people think that rules don’t apply to them? I assume they were all off work/school because of the lockdown? Do they really think it’s a lovely bonus holiday?

PegasusReturns · 24/03/2020 19:37

The quickest way to deal with these idiots would be to make them ineligible for the governments financial support. People are treating it likes it’s a holiday.

If you want to be financially supported do what you’re told and stay at home.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 24/03/2020 19:41

“The crowd insisted they should be allowed to continue”

Oh ok then, since you insist!! Idiots 😡

Police should have the right to name and shame the adults amongst them

Bring back public flogging and the stocks 👍😉

MrsSnitchnose · 24/03/2020 19:46

@NewYearNewTwatName No I didn't. I logged it with 101 as it wasn't technically an emergency. Someone said the police's extra powers come in on Thursday, so if it happens again, I will.

Mum was really angry that they would do that when she's now not allowed to come into contact with me and her only grandchild because of the new rules

Thepigeonsarecoming · 24/03/2020 19:59

I wonder if the police will set up an online form to report things like this. Wouldn’t want to clog up their normal numbers, but at least then can target repeat offenders even if they can’t respond in time

These are the idiots that I deal with on a daily basis. (Police despatch) And in my bloody city. There are so many twats here.

Thepigeonsarecoming · 24/03/2020 20:11

@Babysharkdoodoodood sorry you have to put up with shit on a daily basis!

OP posts:
MrsSnitchnose · 24/03/2020 20:28

@Thepigeonsarecoming good idea

DdraigGoch · 24/03/2020 22:13

Anyone else have visions of the "wagons over" scene from Zulu? Complete with John Barry's music.

Glaceon · 24/03/2020 22:15

Derbyshire police want to get doing the same. This is because west Midlands is one of the worst outside of london and the SE. We are hot on their tail.

Bunnylady54 · 24/03/2020 22:21

A BBQ! I despair! I watched a distressing video today of a guy with Covid19. He’s 49, usually very fit but he was really struggling. Pouring with sweat, banging headache & an awful debilitating cough. Those idiots partying need to be made to watch. It’s not the bloody common cold or average flu fgs!

HeIenaDove · 24/03/2020 23:12

sunbathers on Shepherds Bush got told go home by police.

The sad thing is some of the people ignoring the rules will turn out to be highly educated yet still don’t understand the seriousness of this situation

Someone I know posted on Facebook last Sunday about going out with a friend and then doing yoga in the park (very busy park!). Said it was to cope with a stressful week. She is the head of a Councils Education Department!!! Yet it’s people who think like her that have put her in this situation in the first place 🤦‍♀️

Babysharkdoodoodood · 24/03/2020 23:31

@Thepigeonsarecoming You already can with West Midlands Police. They have an online chat facility

Thepigeonsarecoming · 24/03/2020 23:36

@Babysharkdoodoodood that’s good to know. I’ll check out my local forces website/Facebook just in case

catscatscatseverywhere · 24/03/2020 23:44

£30 fine is not enough. Should be £300!

Thepigeonsarecoming · 25/03/2020 00:00

@catscatscatseverywhere The legislation will state a fine starting at £30. They have said they will keep it under review and have the power to increase it significantly if necessary

I should imagine they want to discourage people with a small fine initially hoping for a shock factor

If that doesn’t work they’ll increase it
