I live on a main road. Just sat in the garden and I cannot believe the amount of cars/people walking past. Surely they cannot all be essential workers.

What is wrong with people!!!

Probably more cars because fewer are using public transport. Walkers might be getting essentials, might be exercising, might be key workers.

Stop curtain twitching and you will probably feel much better.

AndbodyFindMe · 24/03/2020 17:11

Not curtain twitching hun, just say getting fresh air.

Are you one of them out and aboutHmm

You can walk as exercise. You can walk to a shop. You can drive to a shop. Personally, we have chosen to isolate ourselves and we are in the countryside too but others may only be following g’ment guideline.

SarahTancredi · 24/03/2020 17:13

One firm.of exercise a day provided you keep a safe distance (2m) is within guidelines.

As is work
Shopping for necessities

Are they yelling they are going to a party out the window? Cos how do you know what they are doing or why

Lycidas · 24/03/2020 17:15

You’ve misunderstood the directives. It’s not only ‘essential workers’ who are allowed to commute. It’s everyone who has a job that can’t be done from home.

Chill the fuck out. Easy to judge too, when you’re sat comfortably in a garden, unlike many others who don’t have that space.

AndbodyFindMe · 24/03/2020 17:18

Ahh okay I must have got it wrong. I'm going to work tomorrow and off to the shops...

Non key workers are also allowed to go to work if their work is not doable from home. I think there will be less crowds in the days to come as some companies were not prepared for the lockdown and have only started winding down today.

I had a medical appointment and saw a lot of people going for a walk. All did comply, no more than 2, safe distances, crossing the road if they saw somebody. I live in city centre of a big city, and there were definitely far fewer people than usual. My local park is a different thing though...:/

Which is within guideline Wink

I also live on a main road- it's been dead all day! Yes people have been for walks intermittently, and they're steering around one another carefully if their paths cross. People queuing outside the shops we're also carefully distancing themselves, and only going in one at once (small shops).

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 24/03/2020 17:37

You can travel to work

You can go to the shop, either walk or drive

You can leave your home for exercise
