How many of us are worried about losing our jobs?

I'm not trying to scare anyone but it's actually only just hit me that I might lose my job. I know I should've realised weeks ago but it's just hit me. I work in retail management but how long can we stay shut for with £0 profit whilst the company are paying our wages (they said they would for the first three months anyway)? I really didn't create this to upset anyone but now I'm scared. Anyone else?Sad

My whole team have been "furloughed" but realistically there will be no work to go back to. It will be mass redundancies when the government money runs out.

I think everyone is, the recession after this finishes will be massive and long and even if places stay open through the virus, staying open through the recession once the government stops the help is another matter

Very worried. I'm working from home but there is no work to do & as it is all dependent on funding I'm quite concerned about it.

Not in the short-term - I am WFH and they need all the people they can get with so many self-isolating etc.

In the long term, though, this will cost business a fortune and I suspect many will be looking to make cutbacks in the future so my role might get made redundant in a 'restructure' or similar next year.

I've been furloughed but our boss has reassured us that the business will survive. I hope so. We are still trading as we sell to online retailers so there is a skeleton staff in, it's just the number of orders has reduced.
