Vets

I would like to know what arrangements vets are making during this time.

I read a thread on here which said they are making owners stay outside when the animal is treated, obviously emergencies only.

My cat is near the end of his life and I want to know the probable measures when he is PTS which is very likely to be before the 3 weeks are up, and obviously the will most likely be taking more measures for longer.

Obviously having him PTS at home as planned won't happen but I want to know if I will be able to stay with him at the end. The other thing I thought about asking is to be put on a video call so he can at least hear my voice.

I had a phone call with the vet, they will allow one person in with him, put the catheter in without the owner present but allow me in when they give him the injection.

Hope this info helps someone else too.

I’m so sorry you’re having to think of this on top of everything else.

Thanks, he's been on palliative care for a while so it's not a shock, but will still hit me hard when he goes.
