Don’t like the source but does this suggest that they’re not treating people? Would you like to die in hospital or home sounds like you won’t get treatment. Can anyone make sense if this?

If you're elderly and need a ventilator your odds of survival are quite poor from my understanding, even at this stage where there are enough ventilators.

Some people will be so ill that there is no point in treating them and prolonging their suffering. In that case, they will be offered palliative care - which includes the choice of whether to die at home or in hospital.

How is this news? Terminal patients have been asked this question as long as hospitals have existed.
