Washing the car?

Another can I do this post...
We have two filthy cars sitting on the drive.
I had intended to use car washing as an activity to keep kids occupied.
The cars are immediately in front of the house on our driveway.
I realise this is not essential but it would be a mental health break for the kids because they love doing it and there would be no contact with anyone else.
Ok or not ok?

Can you shut a gate over the drive to make it clear it’s your private property?

Bingeslayer · 24/03/2020 12:14

On your property and in fresh air,no different to the garden in my eyes.

Nmagain · 24/03/2020 12:16

I’d say that was fine

P1nkHeartLovesCake · 24/03/2020 12:17

I so thought you were going to ask if you could go to the car wash 😂

On your own property , it’s absolutely fine!

We don't have gates but it's block paved with red brick in a pattern so it's very obviously our driveway and not part of the road.

its on your property/ drive. so its a yes ok from me. I`d do the same.

It seems safe to me. And you'd have lots of soapy water around. Just keep an eye out for small children on walks with their families who might want to dash in and enjoy the fun, too.

We washed the cars. But on the other side of the road from the top of the drive the pavement leads to a footpath. There has been a constant stream of people passing the entire afternoon. People just aren't getting it.
